Tucked away on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, Anthill Workshop is a specialty chainstitch embroidery and denim repair studio dedicated to craftsmanship and longevity.

Our workshop is home to a collection of old-world Singer sewing machines, where we work meticulously to preserve the integrity of Japanese craft denim and enhance its beauty through thoughtful repair and custom embroidery.

From invisible alterations that maintain factory finishes to bold chainstitch designs that personalize your garments, we take pride in extending the life of your loved garments.
Embroidery Specialist
Anthill workshop is one of the only commercial chain stitch embroiderers in Australia. Founder Anthony Wicks, trained at Levi’s Australia as a free motion embroidery tailor and has now set-up a Fitzroy workshop. We are equipped with Australia's largest range of manually operated embroidery machines and work to continue the craft heritage of Chain and Satin stitch embroidery in Australia. We accept a large range of bespoke work from developing original designs for one off denim jackets or wedding attire. Too large scale production work for international clothing manufacturers.
